Water Lilies

While Bodiam Castle is a spectacular sight in broad daylight, visiting the grounds after sunset had definitely an eerie touch to it. I checked with the people of the National Trust while we visited during daytime if it was OK if we roamed the grounds after closing hours (there is a public footpath running through the grounds). Luckily it was OK (maybe being a NT member helped ;-) )

 

So after sunset we had the grounds to ourselves and strolled around. It was interesting to observe how the atmosphere slowly changed. This photo is from early “night”, where it was still quite light. Owing to a rather clear sky we later could get decent light from the almost full moon.
