N1 Naboo Starfighter: Modified (Mandalorian Variant) v2 Hero
Created: In stud.io
Reference: Inthert's model
Piece count: 585
Version of this model: 2
After seeing one of my favorite ships (the N1) re-appear in the Star Wars universe years later AND as a "hot-rod" variation, I knew I wanted to tackle it in Lego as a detailed, display-level moc, my first in years.
Being a bit of a perfectionist, this took me longer than I expected. My goal is always to build in mini-fig scale, be as accurate as possible to the source (so far this is the most screen accurate one I’ve seen in Lego), and maintain structural integrity. So naturally, the base for this ship was based off of Inthert's model, because I also wanted this to compliment his and be built from the same skeleton "in-universe". Although some of the internal structure and how the segments connect are the same, there are several areas I had to rework entirely and every section has been altered to some extent using my own solutions to accomplish the angles and details I felt fit best.
Of course, the size of the dome bothers me, but it is the best solution I could think of so far without removing the ability to fit Grogu in. I hope to someday fully build and test this myself in person, but for now stud.io will have to do. I may release instructions if there is enough interest/I can finalize the build in person first.
Thoughts and suggestions welcome and I look forward to seeing what Inthert comes up with himself!
