So sorry for the long hiatus from the Flickr family. Only my closest friends know what I've been dealing with for the last few months (and I prefer to keep it that way). I really haven't been out shooting hardly at all, but thank God for friends that call me up and say lets go see this screech owl in Madison (WI).
Here is the funny story behind this one:
We knew what park to go to and that was it. We drove around for hours and hiked for hours. We were asking locals and whatever we could do to find this thing. We thought we had it narrowed down to one part of the park but finally decided to try the opposite side of the park as it was getting later in the day. We parked in a spot only big enough for 3 cars and started walking around looking up at trees when this guy on a power walk comes up behind us and asks if we have seen anything. My buddy says "not yet" and the guy literally looks at us and says, "There's an Eastern screech owl living in this tree," as he points right over our head and continues on his walk without another word. Once we spotted it we all busted up laughing at the turn of luck.
