SAF 2017 1st anniversary - paper
1st #stampafaire2017 challenge is paper by Laura Bassen. This was a big stretch for me because I just do not sew on cards. I used the Butterfly Hope cover plate on this one. I watercolored a panel with some Distress Inks. The inset of the butterflies are Raspberry Fizz scraps sprayed with Wink of Stella for a little more sparkle. I carefully cut the vellum butterfly out of the whole cover plate and punched a couple holes and hand-sewed it to the project.
Double-edged banner in Raspberry Fizz with KIS: Birthday III in Smokey Shadow popped up. All layered on a Raspberry Fizz base.
I couldn't figure out why I was so blah about this until I realized it needed a little bling. The three rhinestones really help here. And now I can send it away to my niece who will soon be 12.
