SAF 2017 7th anniversary - wool
I haven't used felt on a card in what feels like forever, which is why I was so thrilled to see Heather's 7th anniversary - wool challenge for #stampafaire2017.
Used the classic Beautiful Blooms II flowers in Melon Berry, Vintage Cream, Harvest Gold and Ocean Tides. I hand-stitched the centers which was a real challenge for me since I don't sew on cards at all. The vase is two layers -- I made a stencil of one of the Mega Vases dies and sponged Aqua Mist behind it. Then I cut another vase out of vellum and layered it on top to look like there's water in the vase. Sentiment from Swoosh in Stormy Sea which goes perfectly with the flower and water in the vase. I love how the swooshes ground the vase, and almost looks like a shelf. Stampers select white is layered on a kraft base.
The sewing took forever so I want to send this to someone very special who will appreciate all this work. Thanks for looking!
