Watercolored birthday

I made this for the #Concordand9th embossing challege a few weeks ago and was all excited to participate -- until I realized that the challenge had ended the day before. But I ended up with this gorgeous birthday card which went right out to a special cousin.

This is the third watercolor panel that I did in the distress ink drip-and-spray technique. I wanted to use my new Eat Cake & Celebrate set which a friend sent me as an RAK. I heat-embossed the large birthday cake in white, and then fit the panel into a piece of PTI's stamper's select white cardstock in which I had die-cut a partial circle. The star clusters are stamped in PTI's Raspberry Fizz ink, as is the sentiment, which my friend had cut apart and fit perfectly here. The whole thing is mounted on PTI's Raspberry Fizz cardstock.

And next time I will make sure to double-check the end date of the latest C9 challenge!
