What a beautiful inspiration photo this month in the PTI blog hop! nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2017/06/june-... . I immediately thought of my Mega Gracious Vases dies. In order to get them even, I penciled in a line about a quarter inch up from the bottom.
I made three stencils with some cardstock that was destined for the recycling bin, and sponged Pale Peony ink onto the first and second vases, making sure to line up the bottom of the stencil with the pencil line. I then sponged a bit of Berry Sorbet on the bottom to look like an ombre vase. The third vase has Tropical Teal sponged lightly and then more heavily on the bottom. Flowers come from Graceful Greetings, and are inked in Pale Peony with Berry Sorbet. Leaves are Green Parakeet. The sentiment is from one of the old anniversary sets, Botanical Silhouettes; I use those sentiments a lot. It's all on a Soft Stone base.
I absolutely love the way this came out; plus I was able to use three more sets for my Use It or Sell It personal challenge, yay! This went right in the mail to a dear childhood friend who just lost her mom -- who was my first teacher at 4 years old. Thanks for looking!
