JCX194 London Transport RT1431 Surbiton

London Bus Museum Route 65 Running Day 11 April 2021 (with social distancing). Cravens-bodied RT1431 of 1949 is seen arriving at Surbiton. These buses had short lives in London, being quite different from a standard RT with a superficial likeness only. New in 1959, this bus was sold in 1956 and in 1966 entered preservation, being owned by the London Omnibus Traction Society (LOTS). It has had several owners since and is currently owned by Ensignbus, as evidenced by the Purfleet (PT) garage code.
