TPF Fribourg funicular
The funicular in Fribourg is the last water-balance funicular in Switzerland and is stated to be the only one in the world to use sewage!. This view was taken just above the crossing loop on 29 August 1992. I imagine that most of the component parts of the cars have been completely rebuilt since the opening in 1899, but are described as "original". The line runs for 121 metres and has a gauge of 1200 mm. Th eline is operated by Transports Publics Fribourgeois.
