SNCF electric loco 2D2.5545 Bordeaux Bastide
On 16 April 1981 a party from the Locomotive Club of Great Britain made a visit to the dump of locos at the former Bordeaux Bastide station. There were three different body styles of this class, built for the PO and PO-Midi companies ebtween 1926-43. This is one of the style known as "femmes enceintes" (pregnant women), eight of which were delivered by Fives-:Lille in 1937/38. One of the “Waterman” style 2D2s is next in line.
