In conjunction with a Network SouthEast "Network Day" when a maximum fare applied throughout the NSE area, an exhibition of current and preserved rolling stock was held at London Waterloo on 1 October 1988. The EM2 Locomotive Society owns 27000 "Electra", built at Gorton works in 1953 for the Manchester-Sheffield 1500V dc route and later used in the Netherlands by NS as 1502. It is seen at Waterloo cosmetically restored to BR green condition. the offices behind the loco used to separate the "main" and "Windsor" sides of the station and known as "The Village". They were demolished during the building of Waterloo International.
