Cisco Bridge

As my wife and I worked our way east from Vancouver on our summer vacation, a must do shot “along the way” was Cisco. I visited this area on a family vacation as a kid, but my K1000 with a 50mm lens was pretty much useless from a distance shooting from the side of the road. It took me 32 years to get back, but I finally got another opportunity to do it right. Unfortunately, I waited too long to do the BC Rail with better equipment, but at least CP and CN are still around. In this shot a CN westbound stack train is crossing the Fraser River, on the right side of the frame are the CP tracks that also cross the river just behind the camera. Hidden behind the trees on the right is a track connecting the CP/CN adding flexibility in the event of a disruption to the directional running operations in the Thompson/Fraser River Canyons.
