Christen always knew she was different than the rest of the kids she went to school with. When she closed her eyes to go to bed she had the constant dream of floating. Floating above the ocean water, or floating above the city skyline. Finally she wanted to put he dreams to a test. During her spare time at school she wondered off to a secluded space. Christen tried everything to try a float in the air as if she was in her dreams. She tired jumping up into the air. When that didn’t work she closed her eyes and imagined herself floating. She felt her feet lift up from the ground. Feeling air at the bottom of her feet instead of a solid she smiled to herself. When she heard a noise coming around the corner she quickly opened her eyes. Her feet landed back onto the grey concrete. “Cool.” She said talking to herself.
