Otherworldy (Explored 9-4-15)
This is a re-edit from an earlier MilkyWay shoot. I changed the temperature of the photo to bring the night sky back into the blue range. The forest is lit with car headlights to bring a green alien glow beneath the MilkyWay. The tint of the MilkyWay has been altered well into the magenta range for added emphasis. Some night sky purists might say that this is just too unnatural ...well I beg to differ. As an artist, if you don't have creative license to alter your images- then why even take them? I happen to enjoy the unnatural glow of this piece as it brings an otherworldly feel to an already cosmic image, where the subject matter appears to bridge two vastly different worlds. I hope you enjoy the artwork as well as my vision.
