Spring has finally arrived and I took in some Vitamin D therapy by way of a walk on the Roza Irrigation District Canal bank late this afternoon. There are many areas where the snow melt runoff has pooled in the canal and in which numerous Mallards have found a protected zone. My movement stirred several to take flight and this one made the "correct" take-off trajectory so that the sunlight struck it directly and lit it up!
