Minerva
1975 100 lira coin. Minerva on the obverse.
Pisces, the fish: the forms that Venus and cupid took to escape the mighty giant Typhoeus who was bent on destroying all Olympian gods. Venus and her son Cupid were bathing on the banks of the Euphrates River that day, and took on the shapes of a pair of fish to escape danger. Minerva later immortalized the event by placing the figures of two fish amongst the stars.
Five pieces of plastic sheet make up the backdrop with one light placed behind with a diffuser to create the sun.
