The swimming lesson

27th of June 2024 at the George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary in Delta BC. The Sandhill Crane pair are taking their two colts on a swim from their nest island over to a nearby trail of the Sanctuary. One of the colts hatched yesterday, the other two days before that. Lots of encouraging purring noises from the parents!!
