Baba Yaga

Alias/Current Name: Baba Yaga

Formerly known as Holda

Gender: Female

Alignment: Villain

Backstory: Baba Yaga, or Holda, as she was known as back then, grew up in a coven of witches and warlocks in Germany. She had this lust for power, which drove her to wanting everyone else's power for herself. But during those times, witches were hunted due to who they were. Some people just want to watch the world burn, and she was no different. She saw an opportunity, to become even more powerful. She would lead the coven into the woods, knowing full well that the hunters were there. This led to a bloodbath, with hunters and witches alike dying in the most gruesome of ways. With each witch that died, the power they had would be transferred to her. With one swift motion, she'd siphon the life force of the remaining witches, and hunters. She was the sole survivor of the battle. She'd isolate herself in those woods for years to come, often luring children to her home, directly in the center of the woods. These children would have to complete these insanely difficult tasks, which would result in them getting a small "reward", which was small pieces of candy. Unfortunately, she'd grow older as the years went on, and with it, a sense of frailness. She didn't like being weak. So every time a child would fail the task she gave them, she would siphon their lifeforce. With that, she would go from being a heinously ugly old crone with a long nose, to being a breathtakingly beautiful woman, and in her prime. Though, even when the children would complete tasks, she would siphon their life force, not seeing them as worthy. She would do anything to preserve her youth, and to keep control over her mortality/powers. The story of Baba Yaga throughout the years has spread worldwide, mostly from the very few survivors who have encountered her, and managed to escape her clutches. Everyone hopes they'll never see her for themselves. Unfortunately, it's only a matter of time before someone else finds their way inside those dark, dreary woods. Be very weary if the winds turn wild and whistle through the trees. Those trees, which creak and groan as the air turns bitter cold. Because then you'll know for certain, you're next.
