Backstory: His father is Captain Daniel Brand, the gung ho head of the CCPD SWAT team who is also known for his use of extreme force to settle situations in unnecessarily bloody ways. Like most cops in Cardinal City, he has a pretty big hatred for vigilantes/superheroes. Knowing this, Jack hid his abilities from his father. He also believes that his fathers brutal methods is going too far, but won't speak up, as he's worried as to what his father will do to him. Growing up, Jack couldn't really make friends. Mostly was because he wanted to stay inside, playing video games, reading comic books, and listening to music. Didn't help things any that his father wanted him in sports to toughen him up so to speak. Jack's grades were nothing outstanding, and his track record when it came to the girls he liked was mostly looks of disgust. He didn't even consider the superhero thing until one day, where he would save a girl he had a crush on at the time from being hit by a car. The costume comes from whenever he uses his powers of superspeed as it's made specifically to withstand the high speeds that he runs at. He would come up with the name Enoshima from one of the characters from his favourite video game franchises. His best friend, Farrah Fanning helped him through it all, until she couldn't. One dark day is all it takes, as Farrah was going through surgery, and was in need of a kidney. Unfortunately for Jack, he wasn't fast enough, and she passed away just seconds before he arrived. This turn of events crushed him. He, along with everyone else, blamed himself. All he ever wanted now was to see her smile, one last time. This is where he would meet Cheshire and Alice. They reassured him, saying he would see his best friend again, so long as he worked with them. So he did, and using her illusions, Alice would become Farrah. As Farrah, she would push Jack down the path of villainy more, telling him that Cheshire and Alice just want what's best for him. Given constant reassurances and affirmation, Jack felt appreciated for once in his life. His musical theatre teacher, Mr. Clarke, was fired months later, which didn't help Jack's mindset. His mind kept twisting, until he was someone unrecognizable. Gone were the days of his heroics as Enoshima. He became something else.. The Interceptor.
