Central City Rogues Volume 1, Issue #2

This issue is from the Top's/Roscoe Dillon's point of view.

"Auerbach, what are you doing here? I thought you left Central City." Landing beside Leonard Snart, I see Lisa phasing through the vault door.

"When you kicked me to the curb all those years ago, plans change. Blacksmith here gave me a real purpose." I can't quite see his expression with his visor down over his face.

"What did you expect? You broke the rules! Women and children are off-limits.. You knew joining the Rogues required you to follow a code. But you couldn't stop yourself."

"Going to hold that over my head forever aye Roscoe? You're going to regret it."

The one that holds fire in his hand seems ansy, as he taps his foot on the ground, quickly looking at each of us.

Heat Monger: "Enough chit chat, let's get to nuking these frauds already!" My vision changes, as it all turns to purple. The hot head throws fireballs at us, we get pushed into a nearby mirror by Scudder, narrowly avoiding the fireballs. We come back out through a mirror behind them. With my vision still being all purple, I feel this fear rising in me. Spin's powers are affecting me. Not as bad as when I got whammied by that Vertigo guy one time, but still enough that I don't know what's going on. Luckily, whatever emotion he inflicts on me, he also stirs up in himself. I stumble along, as I see bursts of different energies collide. I can only assume it's the battle going on between this team of Network meta's and the other Rogues. The wannabe Heatwave goes after Lisa. Piper starts to play his flute, with sound waves emanating from it. Once it collides with Spin, he loses concentration, and my vision fixes itself. I notice a battle of cold ahead, as Snart faces off against Chillblaine. The one dressed in black teleports around with their leader, punching us, and disappearing before we can even hit her. I start to spin myself towards Plunder and Auerbach, with my arms stretched out in front of me. The two of them go crashing into the wall behind them as my arms make contact with their ribcage. They collapse along the wall, until they reach the ground. Two down, and four to go. Not too shabby.

"Time to get out of here." I hear one of them say, as the one in black appears, with the diamond in hand.

"Peek-A-Boo, we aren't leaving here until these frauds are dead. Blacksmith even said so herself."

"If we're frauds, what does that make you? After all, we are clearly outmatching you enough to make you all run away." I reply to Heat Monger, in a slightly mocking tone.

"Shut up and die already!!" He starts throwing fireballs at me. I narrowly dodge them, and they scorch the wall behind me. The cold war between Chillblaine and Snart concludes, with Len knocking him out. He is known as the 'Master of Absolute Zero' for a reason. There was no chance that a chump like Chillblaine could even stand a chance against him.

"Oh don't worry Heat Monger, they will die soon enough. But we got what we came here for, so let's go." With that I see most of them disappear, leaving Chillblaine out in the cold.

Just like that, the big score was gone. First it was the Flash getting involved, now these Network goons. Well at least they gave us a decent fight, even if the odds were in our favour.

"What now boss?" I barely hear Scudder ask this as I'm lost in thought. I tune back in to listening as I look over at Len.

"We're going to steal that diamond back."

Lisa: "Not to sound negative and all, but how? We don't know where their main base is. Also, they have legions of metas on their side, so how are the five of us going to win against that?"

"Well we did put up a good fight against 6 of them. Nonetheless, I never said it was just going to be the five of us. I think it's time to call in some old friends of ours. After all, they do owe me a few favours.
