Backstory: Varian was born in Waterford Ireland. Years after Varian was born, his father Venn would get a job offer that was too good to refuse in Cardinal City. They would all then move to Cardinal when Varian was 5 years old. Venn would do small jobs at first, but it would escalate as the years went on. It was later revealed to him just who he was really working for. Whelan Murray, leader of the Irish Mob. Venn would then try to get out, but Whelan has ties with the police force, so even if he did talk, Whelan would be fine, as most only see him as a successful and benevolent businessman. That and Venn essentially owes him for the job he's been given.. Varian would train in various forms of martial arts at a dojo owned by Syncerastus Aspis Carseri's (Dikaios) father. He vowed to find a way to get his father out of this mess he's in. He would call himself the Viridian Vanquisher, even though the colour is different than the green he wears, he liked the sound of Viridian more. He would meet the Crimson Crusader, and learn of Tengu's ideals. It would be a few months later that they would form the Harbingers, a group that would take a more lethal approach than most heroes. They named the group after the Tengu's role in Japanese mythology.
