The nimble fingers, the ivory wood( milkwood) , the vegetable dye , the shellac , the kewda (fragrant screw pine) , the age old tradition and the artisans of Channapatna toys. The small town is near Bangalore, India devoted to making of wooden toys . A tradition that has survived generations - the origin dates back to 18th Century.
