Here are a few more pictures from the area of Nome Alaska.

 

Anvil Mountain overlooks the village of Nome Alaska. It was upon which four large radio towers pointing in different directions were erected during the Cold War.

 

Ron, Sam and I drove up there to see the sights and check for birds. Ron took a photo of them from below, you can see how small they look from the base of the mountain. I am also putting up two images taken from right by them so that you may understand just how large they really are.

 

By the way, in case you’re wondering, Ron and I called the Chevy Suburban which we rented; “The Bird Blind”.
