Mess Keet

These are the roots of a Mesquite tree. Most trees grow in a more or less orderly fashion, spreading out in all directions. Mesquites, for some reason, sometimes decide to grow in one direction, then another direction, and another, sometimes reversing course entirely. Eventually, the Mesquite becomes a Mess Keet.

The Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/4 lens arrived today so, since I had to run an errand, I stopped by the nearby park to try it out.
