Vessel | Hudson Yards

I've been waiting to take pictures here since it was built - finally got to climb the landmark, and knew it had to be done at night... This is the result. It's a little soft as I had to hand hold and didn't want the ISO to get too crazy, but still had to force 3200 whilst stopped down a touch to get as much detail in as possible. On my next visit I'll take a tripod in as I saw some folks in there with them and it didn't seem to be an issue.

From the website (hudsonyardsnewyork.com): The extraordinary centerpiece of Hudson Yards is its spiral staircase, a soaring new landmark meant to be climbed. This interactive artwork was imagined by Thomas Heatherwick and Heatherwick Studio as a focal point where people can enjoy new perspectives of the city and one another from different heights, angles and vantage points.

Comprised of 154 intricately interconnecting flights of stairs -- almost 2,500 individual steps and 80 landings -- the vertical climb offers remarkable views of the city, the river and beyond.
