Dinner in White - Florence Street Party
Another shot from our visit to Florence in September. This is the night-time street party 'Dinner in White' which was being held in the late evening in the normally busy and very wide street, Via dei Martelli. This was just a short distance from Il Duomo, the busy hub of old Florence and the authorities had closed the street for this annual event. The dinner is organised by a large group of friends and colleagues, who work in local government and includes their families and guests. Everyone brings tables, chairs, food, and drinks with them and just parties. I just love the way everyone is going about enjoying themselves, each in their own way, completely oblivious of the camera! For me this sums up the charm of Firenze and its lovely inhabitants!
