The Isles of Eigg and Rhum from Camusdarrach Beach (Local Hero beach)
A panorama taken from the silver sands of Camusdarrach Beach, Morar (where the beach scenes were shot for the hit film Local Hero). On the horizon are the inner Hebridean islands of Eigg (the flat one with the pointy cliff on the left) and Rhum (the one with the jagged peaks on the right). You can also take in the larger island Skye in one fell swoop, but the gorgeous panorama gets quite long, so I left it out of this shot. We had four days staying near Arisaig on the Morar Peninsula and had weather ranging from blizzards, sleet and rain to warm sunshine. What a fantastic place to vacation.
