Old Well in Edinburghs Netherbow
A few photos today from Friday's photoshoot with Alex (gilligguy) and Susan (cinnamongirl72) from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and RobertEdnie from Fife.
The Netherbow Wellhead on Edinburgh's Royal Mile was built around 1675 to provide water from the Castlehill Reservoir to the inhabitants of Edinburgh's Old Town. There is a slot above this for the pump handle and the water came out of his mouth into your container, or into a small trough on the pavement. I live only 25 miles from Edinburgh but everytime I do a photoshoot there I find more and more things I never knew about!
