London's Millenium Bridge

AGAIN THIS IS BEST VIEWED ON BLACK. The Millenium Bridge carries pedestrians only and crosses the River Thames in London, from the gigantic Tate Modern Museum on the South Bank of the river, to St Paul's Cathedral on the North Bank. The futuristic-looking bridge was opened for the Millenium and was immediately closed again. On the occasion of its being opened, so many people had tried to cross all at the same time, that it began to discernibly wobble and it was immediately shut-off to the public. It became known as the Wobbly Bridge. Once the engineers had fitted motion dampers to stop any excess movement, then crossing it became one of the things that you must do in London! It really is a nice bridge now and is a pleasure to walk across. I love the split-level effect you get from this viewpoint, with one part going down to the river embankment walk and the other level forking before joining up into the bridge.
