Can You Guess Which TV Celebrity Might Have Built a Sandcastle Like This?

Today an abortive second attempt to access Kilconquhar Loch (pronounced Kinucchar) failed. Our back-up plan was to visit Elie Beach. There, we saw a celebrity (a real one) archaeologist, historian, author and TV presenter, building an elaborate sandcastle complex and moat with his son (can you guess who this pleasant Scottish popular scientist was)? There was also a mezzo-soprano dog-walker, singing arias along the strand, a micro-light aircraft, lots of people digging in the sand, windsurfers, yachts, herons, starfish and all the fun of the seaside. What a great afternoon by the briny sea!

The builder was ever so carefully sprinkling wet sand onto the top of each spiracle. These reminded me of tufa towers in Turkey. Well done to Anne (2012) for guessing Neil Oliver (who is often to be found in Elie during the summer months).
