Jack Vacation - With Grandma in Front of Falkland Palace
Falkland Palace was the royal hunting palace of the Stewarts. Amongst the notables who stayed there were: James VI of Scotland / James I of Britain, Mary Queen of Scots and Charles II, whom the Scots supported in his battles with Oliver CRomwell and the parliamentarian round-head armies. Jack was interested to see the world's oldest continuously used tennis court. There they still play Real Tennis (or Royal Tennis) where the service shot runs the ball along a balcony before dropping it towards the opponent. LIke squash the ball may be hit off the surrounding walls of the court, but you can also gain extra points for firing shots through tiny windows in the end wall. Swallows nexst all along the entrance corridors and whizz back and forwards over your head, feeding their chicks and removing faecal sacs from the nests.
