Old Houses at Crail Harbour
One of the old courtyards near beautiful, little Crail Harbour. I love the simple lines of these old fishermans' houses. The route from the harbour to the upper town (and the Fife Coastal Path) is via steps called "A Hen's Ladder" which run up behind the left-hand house in this group. We had a great day at both Cambo and Crail yesterday and were delighted to find our favourite Harbour Gallery and Restaurant had just opened for the Summer. We sat alone on the terrace, in the Spring sunshine, overlooking the cliffs and bay, with beautiful fulmars wheeling over our heads, gliding back to their nests on the cliff. Paradise!
