Skye Trip - Sea-kayakers at Ord Bay, Isle of Skye
The hilly single-track, circular road from the east to the west of the Sleat Peninsula and back, gives some great views of the Cuillin Mountains from the villages of Toskavaig, Tarskavaig and Ord (photo best viewed large to see the mountain detail). At Ord Bay the view of the mighty Cuillins was also augmented by a group of sea-kayakers from Skyak (Skye Kayaking) being put through their paces towards the end of their first day of instruction. What a place to learn to kayak! According to the Skyak website the chief instructor is Gordon Brown, but somehow I dont think it's Gordy Broon the UK Prime Minister doing a bit of moonlighting?
