Spring Time on the Beach
Whilst beach-combing yesterday, I found this large rusty spring buried in the pebbles and sand. I put the lens cap in for scale. There are a couple of pieces of coloured beach-glass in view and the rock at the left of the spring has plant impressions left by 300 million-year old Ginko-like trees. For Ilona I've left notes about a few exotic rocks that are non-native (sailing-ship ballast that was dumped in the 18th and 19th centuries)
