Clouds Under Schiehallion
Perthshire's most beautiful bump, Schiehallion (the Fairy Mountain), is probably my favourite Scottish mountain for shape, for me rivaled only by the double-peaked Suilven ( which is in Assynt, in far-off Sutherland). On a cold winters day, with the clouds streaming across its lower slopes, Schiehallion really does look magical! Despite its shape, it is easily ascended, with only only a scramble up some boulders, proving at all difficult! This view was taken across the waters of lovely Loch Rannoch.
