Riptide

54' 1939 Elco. Powered by twin 671's. She was shown at the 1938-39 New York Boat Show.
Riptide's original owner was Howard Johnson, and she was later owned by modster Moe Dalitz and kept on Lake Mead. During the 80's, she was featured on the TV show "Riptide", and was a member of the Southern Fleet as "Southwind". After the show was canceled she fell into disrepair. She was purchased by the current owners in December 1997, and has undergone extensive restoration. They relocated to the Puget Sound region in 2010.
