Sonoran Coralsnake

The Sonoran Coralsnake (Micruroides euryxanthus) exhibits an interesting behavior by "popping" its cloaca and making a sound that some refer to as farting! It also happens to be the only venomous snake without a rattle in the state of Arizona. While it is indeed venomous, they are very elusive, seldom encountered, and the cause for very few bites.
