43290 - 299 at Woolascott with (1Q20) 0750 Crewe CS - Derby RTC 22042022
Network Rail class 43290 and 299 HST set passes through Woolascott located 4 miles North of Shrewsbury with the Crewe CS to Derby RTC (network Rail) "Test and Measurement Train".
The train had started at Crewe and travelled down the Marches Line as far as Newport before returning later in the day, on arrival at Shrewsbury it then took in the stretch of line to Wrexham and return before finally working back to Derby RTC Network Rail. I am pretty certain this is the first time an HST test train has travelled over these metals
