Clumber Park

366/2020 - 2020 Vision ~ 010/366

Today's walk was round the lake at Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire. Much less muddy than yesterday and the sun shone!

Clumber Lake is a serpentine. It was dug out by hand and took 15 years to build. The lake was created by damming the River Poulter and excavating the river bed and was further enlarged and extended in 1817 and 1885 until it covered 87 acres and was almost two miles long.

Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo. Any comments or Faves are very much appreciated.
