Flickr Lounge ~ From a Distance

 

This huge quarry, high up in the Derbyshire hills cannot be seen from anywhere except when standing right next to it. I was only sorry that there weren't any large quarrying machines there to give a sense of how deep and large this quarry actually is.

 

The quarry lower down the hill has already been back filled and returned to nature. I suspect that the owners of this are probably preparing to do the same here.
