Cologne On The Rhine WWB MN 2016 Kickstarter

I'm excited to announce the Kickstarter project for our collaboration for World War Brick 2016 Minneapolis. Of course we are not expecting our current contributors/sponsors to contribute any money to this, but this is more focused at the Lego community as a whole. We want to help make this one of the most eye-popping builds ever featured at a WWB event!

Below is a description from our project.

"We are a group of Lego enthusiasts and history buffs who have an ambitious goal of recreating a piece of history from WW2 for a large convention called World War Brick, (WWB), hosted by Brickmania. (Link: worldwarbrick.com/minneapolis/.) This convention is centered around recreating vehicles and dioramas representing modern and historical military pieces. It is taking place in Minneapolis from June 10th-12th, 2016.

For this year's WWB event the group has decided on recreating a duel between two tanks in Cologne Germany that was actually videotaped! The two tanks involved were the infamous German Panther and a US M26 Pershing Heavy tank. Check out the Youtube video link below!

The funding raised will be used to build the lower level of the Cologne Cathedral. This build is going to be quite the undertaking! However, 60-70% of funding each backer donates will be put towards the backing reward. This means we will need a lot of other enthusiastic people to become involved with this project. These rewards are pretty awesome, and each backer will be able to take home a little piece of history!

This build has potential to be one of the largest and most impressive builds to show up at WWB. This build is going to be huge! We're looking at a 3x4 foot diorama with the cathedral and all the other included buildings! Several people are pooling together their Lego resources, energy, and enthusiasm to recreate a very unique piece of WW2 history that may never again be recreated after this event. Backers will be an integral part to this ambitious project if we are to succeed. Be a part of recreating history through a very unique media; Lego bricks."
