Lego 75875 Model A mod
I purchased and built my Speed Champions Model A this weekend and was thoroughly disappointed with it once built. So of course I had to fix it. I do like the printed doors, but I felt that the rest of the model had the proportions and lines all wrong for a Model A. I cleaned up the body profile, and fixed the horrible front wheel/axle placement, and generally lined everything up a little better so it wasn't so awkward in profile. I lost a bit of the extreme rake which is fine by me, I think this looks much more...plausible, if not realistic. I also eliminated a few pieces to keep it from looking so overly chunky and piece-bloated. I tried to stick with parts from the set but I subbed a few minor pieces here and there. Can you spot all the modifications? I wish I had taken a few "before" photos for comparison. Anyway, enjoy!
