Sierra Pericopid Moth

Seeing one of these is a few and far between experience. Not only did I see this one but I got a nice long time with him. Before I started photographing Lepidoptera a dozen years ago, I didn't even know there were daytime moths! This guy is enjoying pennyroyal flowers on the slopes of Mt. Shasta
