old Cody

Some original buildings which are now part of museum called Old West Trail Town. Cody is cowboy country and named for Buffalo Bill Cody who stood up for the native American Indians and created a Wild West Show that included many Indians. They participated because they believed in the truth that he tried to deliver to the public about the lies and broken treaties that the white man continually put upon the indian nations. The other cool thing about Cody was that he had a cousin Samuel who flew kites. He is famous for the Cody box kite. Seemed appropriate that I flew a kite over the site of some of the original buildings.
