The Silver Apron
The Silver Apron lies between Nevada Fall and Vernal Fall in Yosemite Park. Water cascades over smooth granite forming a giant water-slide into Emerald Pool. Although it does tempt people to try it, doing so is extremely dangerous and against park regulations. Almost every year some people are swept over the falls to their deaths in Yosemite by entering the water in areas like this. The most recent was last week when a 19 year old tried to swim above Nevada Fall (shown below) and was swept over.
