On 11 June 2015, a transfer of unit command took place in Second Battalion, Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (2 PPCLI) at Canadian Armed Forces Base Shilo, Manitoba. Lieutenant-Colonel Bob Ritchie handed over command of 2 PPCLI to Lieutenant-Colonel Wayne Niven. There was also a change of appointment of the 2 PPCLI Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) from Chief Warrant Officer Todd D’Andrade to Chief Warrant Officer Jim Smith.
