Perseids and the Milky Way
A clear night coinciding with the peak of the Perseid Meteor shower gave Geoff and I the opportunity to try a bit of starcatching.
I have always thought that photography and fishing had a lot in common, you go out all eager anticipating what you might catch, set up and spend hours watching a very small area for a bite/shot, sometimes you might catch something sometimes not. Last night was definitely one of those experiences trying to catch meteors as they streaked across the Worcestershire sky above Broadway. An added bonus was that the Milky way was visible and the foreground was lit by a very strong half moon.
