Why Not ........
Colourful sailing boats, although the name of the green boat also caught my attention. Pourquoi,Pas , with my limited knowledge of French the literal translation into English means "Why Not ". This intrigued me so I googled the name,Pourquoi-Pas was in fact the name of a research boat captained by Charcot (a polar scientist) who completed his second expedition to the Antarctic in 1908 -10.The captain later died on the ship when it was wrecked in 1936.
An island in Antactica was subsequently called " Pourquoi Pas "
