I'm a little taller today!

I've been wearing my very snug Nike Dunk Sky High sneakers this evening, now at the Chinese take-out. Although they are quite snug, they aren't particularly uncomfortable. and I've worn them all day on occasion.

They are US women's size 6, about a men's 4, only a size smaller that the size 5 shoes I squeeze my feet into most days. I also own a pair of similar Dunks, women's size 6 1/2 but they feel tighter. I think because these have thin, soft PVC uppers which has stretched to fit my feet, while the larger pair has canvas and thick stifff plastic uppers which don't stretch easily.

It is here back two or so years ago where one of the help, sweeping around my feet as he was cleaning up started to laugh. I thought he was laughing at me for wearing women's shoes, but when I asked him why, he said "but your feet are so small" Of course wearing shoes with wedges makes them shorter, basic trigonometry. so your feet look even smaller.

In all the many times I've worn wedge shoes, both hidden and visible wedges, I've never had anyone ask me or say I'm wearing women's shoes. For that matter on the rare occasion I've been to a shoe store to purchase new shoes, and when the sales person asks me what size and I say "Women's 7" or such, they have never considered that unusual.

But I've had people comment on my small feet (sometimes looking smaller because of the small shoes I'm wearing, quite often).
