Trying out the size 34 plastic Gizehs
I was really looking for these in 35 or 36, to complement the size 38 pair I've worn for a couple of years. But I found these size 34 on eBay at a very low price.
I had fears that they would be uncomfortable if the plastic footbed edges pressed into my heels and toes, but they are fine. Basically, the edges of the footbed bend to exactly fit the contour of my feet.
The only issue is that the strap is almost too short. Actually, I found I could wear them with the strap unbuckled (unlike my lack of success wearing flip-flops with broken side straps) but ended up punching holes at the very end of the straps which work OK.
For comparison, these are about two inches shorter than the yellow pair I've worn for the last few years, and much narrower, but somehow, they fit fine.
